Strengthening of primary education is not a mere slogan; it is the need and call of the hour. It is the constant endeavor of the Kendriya Vidyalayas to make the teaching- learning process child oriented. To streamline this process Common Minimum Programme for qualitative improvement of Primary Education has been introduced. The emphasis has been laid on the Activity based teaching. We believe in developing the constructive attitude and not only aptitude. The Primary children bloom in an environment of affection, creativity and enjoy informal Play-way learning. Homely atmosphere at school makes the children feel secure and happy. To make the teaching-learning process interesting and effective variety of latest techniques L.C.D. Projector, computers, audio-visual aids, art & craft, film shows, music, games and sports have been introduced in the curriculum. Each classroom of Primary Section is well equipped with informative and creative books, encyclopedias etc. keeping in view the level of the class. A fixed amount of financial assistance has been provided to prepare the Teaching –Learning materials for developing requisite competencies among the students. It inculcated the values of caring and sharing. Students were exposed to the diverse food habits of the different regions and states of the country, developing hygienic habits and respect for others. CUBS-BULBUL ACTIVITIES These multitude exposures enrich and motivate the buds to contribute and work for a better world to live. Our students participate in the scout and guide activities with full zeal and enthusiasm, which inculcate the feeling of patriotism and oneness. EXCURSION Excursion tours are organized to give exposure to the students. To equip students learning and to enable them to unique nature of Indian culture trips are organized to various worship places such as temple, mosque, gurudwara, picnic spot, Parle G biscuit factory etc. CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION - Birth anniversary of Chacha Nehru was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm. Cluster Level Camp was organized on this occasion in K.V.No. 1, AJMER in which 36 students from class I to V participated with full zeal and enthusiasm and brought laurels to the vidyalaya. MOVING AHEAD – INTO THE REALM OF COMPUTERS To keep pace with the 21 century and to meet the need of the changing times, learners are taught using the latest techniques like-LCD Projector, Computers, OverHead Projectors etc. Regularly the students are taken to the computer lab of the primary section. FILM SHOWS- Every fortnightly film shows was screened for the students. By visualizing the films based on mythological stories like Panchtantra ki kahania, Akbar Birbal, Taree Zameen Par, Ice age, Baby’s day out etc. students inculcated moral values among them which would definitely help the to be a good human being. CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES - C.C.Activities are an integral part of the school milieu and ensure holistic personality growth. The students were motivated and encouraged to participate in the activities by the learned teachers. GRAND PARENTS DAY CELEBRATION The celebration of the day marked as a memorable day as it generated an environment joy and respect for the elders. RANGOLI COMPETITION Imagination and Creativity of the students is developed by the use of different colours in the form of beautiful patterns, which remark the great Indian culture. SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAMME The young seedlings were nurtured to be the bright future blooming citizens of the country. The Principal, staff and students extended a warm welcome to the little stars and their parents. Parents were made aware of the KVS policies of school readiness programme, five point grading system, C.C.E. etc. DRAWING AND PAINTING – The imaginative and creative skill is enhanced and sketched by the students through these competitions. CELEBRATIONS: Various National Festivals, Regional Festivals Hindi Pakhwada. Children’s Day, National Education Day, KVS foundation Day etc. were celebrated with grandeur and gaiety. These activities were central to the development of child’s holistic personality and to imbibe our rich culture and heritage. GO GREEN PROJECT: Nature is our future. The students of the Primary section contribute in the Green Earth; Clean Earth Project. Saplings were planted and nurtured by the students under Mission Green Earth, Stand Up Take Action 2008 in and around the school vicinity. Shri J.P.Bhati Asstt. Forest Conservator from Forest Department was invited to impart knowledge about the techniques of tree plantation. An Anti Cracker Rally was organized by the students of Primary section to the nearby localities and CRPF Campus to spread the message of “No to Crackers” and to contribute in pollution free Diwali.On this occasion students recited poems, delivered speeches to bring awareness among the society. They also took oath to celebrate Diwali without burning crackers. SOCIAL SCIENCE AND SCIENCE EXHIBITION: Students of primary section participated in these exhibitions by preparing charts, models etc. This promoted scientific, social, geographical and cultural awareness among the students MEDICAL CHECK-UP: A regular medical up of all the students was conducted and parents were informed if any special care had to be taken. The teachers kept a check on the tiffins of the students and encouraged them to have a balanced and nutritive diet. PARENT- TEACHER MEETINGS- Regular Parent-teacher meetings were held after the scheduled exams to streamline the academic progress of the child. CLASS LIBRARY - Each classroom of Primary Section is well equipped with informative and creative books, encyclopedias etc. keeping in view the level of the class. Storybooks are issued to the students from time to time, which enhance the reading habit among them. This helps them to enrich their vocabulary.
